What were you impressions? The premiere was a great success. It was quite pleasant to reconnect with the cast of the movie. I had amazing fun in Montenegro where we were shooting. During the premiere in Belgrade, I was very happy and pleased with how the movie turned out. It was great to celebrate the opening of the movie with such an amazing cast of people who are now my friends. Have you previously been acquainted with Serbian horror films? Have you watched any? My favorite genre of films to watch is horror. I have seen Milan Todorovic’s Zone of the Dead and found it very intriguing. Luckily, after shooting Mamula, Milan offered me a leading part in the sequel called Wrath of the dead. I’m extremely excited to go back to Belgrade to start shooting and working with a talented director and friendly crew. Mamula is your first project in Serbia. Are you satisfied with the atmosphere on the set of the movie? I didn’t know what to expect when I first came to Belgrade. I’ve never worked with Serbian crew before and I was pleasantly surprised. Due to the story of the film, we had to shoot in a very small town in Montenegro called Rosa. When I first came to set, I have realized the whole town were mostly the actors and crew of the production. I was very happy that we all became one family. It was a very friendly environment, despite the limitations of the area. It was extremely sad to separate once principal photography came to an end. Did you previously know Milan Todoroivc? Is he strict as a director? I was first acquainted with Milan at the Cannes Film festival. We clicked straight away. In a few days time, we celebrated my birthday together. As a gift, he wrote my contract on a piece of tissue paper. I found him extremely easy going and fun to get along with. Later on, I was pleasantly shocked how focused and serious Milan is as a director. He gives complete freedom to the actors to come up with own choices in the scene. Do you read books? Which is your favorite? I like the stories of Sydney Sheldon. Due to my busy schedule as a producer, the only books I read are the ones I want to turn into movies. You will play in another Serbian horror film “6 Dana 66 Godina.” What can you tell us about that role? I was cast in that movie after my filming in Mamula. I play a completely opposite part, which is a Serbian small-town waitress who is waiting for her love of her life to return. When he does, Hell raises and everything is turned upside down. You’ve worked with world-famous movie stars like Jason Staham, Slyvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzeneggar? Di d you find it difficult to work with them or the actors in Serbia? I had the pleasure of getting to know some world famous actors because of my small part in Expendables 3. Honestly, I’m looking forward for many more movies where I could share the screen with them again. It’s definitely more challenging to present your skills in front of such legends. As an actress, my feelings towards my work stay always the same: I get a little bit nervous, a little bit scared, and very excited. Whether I’m in a big set in Expendables or a small set like Mamulia, I put the exactly the same amount of preparation. I’m always dedicated to show off my talents, to my best knowledge, and have anticipated a good connection with any actors. With which actor or director would you like to work with in the future? It would a dream come true to work with an actress and someone I look up to, Meryl Streep. She is a great example of what a great actor should be like: Versatile, open, dedicated, and unpredictable. She always shows something unique in her parts. I would spend hours trying to figure out her secret to acting. I would love to one day to be in a Martin Scorcsese film. I feel like he mostly works with men and if one day he might be interested in directing me, I would not refuse. What are your plans for the future? My plans are endless and my goal is to reach the top and hopefully land not too far from it. . Do you have anything to say to the readers of horror.rs site?
