A friend in Orlando took in a stray that was expecting. The mother had 9 puppies and did not want them. I drove to Orlando and took a puppy that I named Bailey. Ive attached her photo. I got her at 4 weeks and had to bottle feed her formula. I am the only mommy she has ever known. I adore her. I lost my job and moved into government housing here in St. Pete. The complex is called Campbell Landings. It is nice since it is new. But I went from a great salary to social security. Also, my movers stole ALL my belongings. Im 65 years old and pretty much had to start over. The complex allows small pets. But Bailey kept growing. She is about 45 pounds and only a year old. The management has been kind but we had to take our puppies out in a rolling cart. Bailey is now too heavy for me to lift into the cart. Ive had a spinal fusion and knee surgery. Management allows me to take her down a stairwell but it is 62 steps down and 62 back up three times a day. I am finding this is becoming too hard for me at my age. Bailey needs a large fenced in yard and some children to love and play with. She is smart as a whip and funny and loving. I want to re-home her but I am so afraid for her happiness. I cannot bring myself to take her anywhere where she will be placed in a cage. I want to know the person/s that would love her. Shes had all her shots and heartworm meds. I have not had the money to get her spayed yet. The cheapest I found was $100. I wanted to love her through that. Im saving for that procedure. Can you help? Do you know anyone that would love my little girl? I dont want her to be sad. But Im getting really unable to care for her. Please let me know if you have any ideas or someone I could contact.
