Chelsea captain John Terry will hopefully agree terms on a new contract in the next two weeks, according to the clubs assistant coach Steve Holland. Terry has excelled this season for title- chasing Chelsea, making 32 league appearances in the centre of a defence that is the tightest in the division with 24 goals conceded in 34 games. The 33-year-old has reportedly been offered a new deal by the West London club but on half his current wage. Holland rejected any suggestions of tension between player and club and also revealed that the Blues are also looking to seal new deals for long-serving duo Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard. John has had an outstanding season; we have the best defensive record in the Premier League and hes played in almost all of that and been a major part of it all, said Holland. I know that John wants to stay at Chelsea, and Chelsea want John to stay, so hopefully that situation can be concluded amicably over the next few weeks. Its the same situation (with Lampard and Cole), were dealing with not just normal players, but magnificent servants for this club over a long period. So full respect will be given for those players. Terry, who retired from international duty with England in September 2012, has made over 600 appearances for Chelsea having made his debut in 1998. Lampard, 35, is Chelseas all- time record goalscorer with 209, eight of which have come this season from 36 appearances. The midfielder signed a one-year deal last summer after admitting he had expected to leave the club. Coles contract also expires this summer and manager Jose Mourinho has stated he would like the left-back to stay at the club. However, the 33-year-old has only made 21 appearances for the club this season, with Mourinho preferring Cesar Azpilicueta on the left of defence.
