Though 3 Idiots has earned a massive USD 25 million, the earnings were made in 2009 when the dollar rate was way lower than its current rate. Chennai Express still falls way behind in terms of collections made overseas, nevertheless, the producers of the film have already earned more than the producers of3 Idiots.
