Cherish every minute you have with your loved ones because you - TopicsExpress

Cherish every minute you have with your loved ones because you never know if it will be your last... I didnt know that all the time I spent at home on our Rez in June and July along with our Uncle Chief (who was there from Tucson) visiting our entire family while also holding vigil over the life and passing of our Uncle John - would be for many of us - the last time we would see Uncle Chief. That a little over a month after uncle John crossed over that he would join him. Uncle Chief was so vibrant and happy - you could see in his eyes that despite all of our reasons for being home - to see my uncle John off - his heart was good, he was happy to see everyone and to get a chance to visit longtime and lost friends of his past. He was abundant with stories of all kinds. For me in particular, I whole heartedly enjoyed all the stories he had about our dad. So many I had never heard before, and so many more things I just never new about my dad because he had passed when I was in my early 20s and he just in his mid40s. I learned a lot, about uncle Cheif, all my aunts and uncles and about our dad. Uncle and I...we laughed and laughed and cried a time or two because because some of the stories brought some hurt and pain in remembering certain things. Since he has passed, I keep finding myself myself wondering if Uncle Cheif knew what we didnt, which is why he spent the time to tell us the stories. Uncle Chief was laid to rest today. He is now with his brothers: my dad, our uncle John and our grandma Rose and our grandpa Hall. I know my grandmother is beyond thrilled that after all these years, she has 3 of her boys with her and they are all on an incredible new journey together - free from hurt, pain, anger and all the things that make life hard while we are here, on this earth. #rip #hallfamily #chiefhall #johnhall #roseseymourhall #charleshall #together
