Chester High School/Chester Elementary School was certainly - TopicsExpress

Chester High School/Chester Elementary School was certainly tightly woven into the fabric of my familys life. My mother, Alice Rowland Register graduated from high school when there were only 11 grades. Mrs. Sarah Nicholson was one of her teachers, and Ida Lou Carr (Parrish Lynn) was one of her classmates. Mama was lunch room manager until her death in a car accident in 1989. She began working there when I was in 8th grade in the 1959-1960 school year. Daddy was president of the TPA, and mama and daddy worked many hours in the store during basketball games. Mama and daddy travelled to Rhine, Chauncey, Dodge High, and Eastman to support the basketball team while Judy and I were cheerleaders, and Tony and Gary played basketball. Later, my children, Holly and Greg Culpepper went K-8 at Chester. Three generations and we all loved this school and would not trade the memories we made there for anything.
