Chicken Stew 1 big rooster or fat hen 1 cup buttermilk 1 cup flour 5 ozs cooking oil 1 onion chopped 2 stalks celery chopped 1 bell pepper chopped 2 cloves garlic minced 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper Season chicken with salt and pepper… Add oil to dutch oven and heat up… Dip chicken in buttermilk, then roll in flour… Then fry until brown, remove chicken… Saute onion, celery bell pepper, and garlic until tender… Add chicken and enough water to cover well… Add Worcestershire sauce, cover cook very slowly until very tender… About 4hrs or so… Serve over cooked pasta or rice…
