Child Welfare Information Gateway has added a new resource for working with American Indian and Alaska Native foster families. Circle of Keepers: Voices of Native American Foster Care Warriors offers a training curriculum developed to specifically incorporate Native American cultural traditions, beliefs, and practices to better meet the needs of the Native American children in foster care with the hope of finding healing through culture and helping to preserve their connection with Native American heritage. A Trainers Guide and Foster Family Resource Guide are both available.
