Child predators always position themselves with careers or dealings with children. They are deceptive and are able to go without suspicion by developing a false trust. For every one child that is a victim by one predator there are at least 60 more you dont know about. In a lifetime over 100 children can be a victim. Teachers, ministers, counselors, health care workers and many other careers where we all assume our children are in good hands can be a false perception. We all assume its the beggar on the street but child predators are generally people we know, trust, and even love. Go with gut instinct and teach children to do the same. Teach them what their personal boundaries are and if anyone ever tries to coheres them or scare them into violating those boundaries to run and take off screaming. Most child predators are male. Teach your child if they are every in danger to find a female in a uniform or name badge. That can be anyone from a walmart employee to a police officer. Gut instinct 99% right and for the one time your wrong you can apologize. Its your child... Be safe!
