Chin Akano: When the news about the miraculous healing river somewhere in Enugu state broke I waved it off as a cock and bull story and never gave it a thought. Let me digress a bit. I have this friend who for over 20 years always complained of this intractable pile that kept him always in pain. I always wondered if his pile was thrombosed or infected perpetually going by the severity of the pain it caused him. He had used all sorts of medications ..orthodox, Igbo herbs, yoruba agbo and the Hausa pile healing concoction to no avail. He spent a fortune trying to get rid of that condition but wasnt lucky with it. This new year he came to my house in the villa with the pain and I prescribed some medications that gave him some relief but soon after the pain returned with a vengeance . I then advised him to go for the operation ( haemorrhoidectomy) which is the usual definitive cure and promised to pay his bills for him. He told me he will think about it and get back to me. That was the last I heard from him till today. As I set out for a long drive to Norwich this evening my phone rang and it was him. After the usual pleasantries he said doctor sorry I could not see you when you were around during the Easter break because that my pile was so bad that I could hardly walk. At that point I thought he was calling me to fulfil my promise to foot the surgical operation for him but was gobsmacked when he told me the problem has been cured/ healed completely since 3 weeks now and he has not experienced any pain since . Of course I asked how it happened . Hear him I went to that miracle river in Enugu state, jumped in, washed my whole body and my bum and as I came out the pain disappeared completely till today Hmmmm If I had a private jet, by now I am certain I would have been inside that river cleansing and healing known and unknown ailments. Guys what are you waiting for? By the way that my friend does not tell tales so this is a true story!!!!
