China a beacon of economic growth? China a model of success? China the future superpower? Quite the contrary: China is the benchmark for: Exploitation of the poor, environmental depredation, degradation of universal human rights and the decadence of a long standing cultural that used to strongly adhere to family values, humility, patience, respect and tolerance. All but forgotten. The looming catastrophe is not just going to engulf the Global North, but it will equally blaze through the Global South as well. The seeds of an environmental collapse, a rapid decline in life expectancy, a financial & demographic crisis, class warfare, etc have all been well planted.
