Christ Is the Way to Holiness BIBLE MEDITATION: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ live in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT: Here is one of the greatest secrets of living a victorious life that I know anything about: holiness is not the way to Christ, Christ is the way to holiness. Many times we think, “If I could pray enough, live purely enough, study my Bible thoroughly enough, or get my life holy enough, that would bring me closer to Jesus. It would bring me into a relationship with Him.” But not so! It is Jesus Christ Who enables you to pray. It is Jesus Christ Who enables you to study the Bible. It is Jesus Christ Who enables you to live the pure life. Holiness is not the way to Christ—Christ is the way to holiness. ACTION POINT: Claim now the fullness of God’s power. Just as Elisha was identified with Elijah, so you much be identified with the Lord Jesus Christ. The way to be like Him is to see Him and to worship Him and praise Him. Then you’re changed; you are made like Him. You become like what you spend time with. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10 1st JOHN 5:7 Says, for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one. JOHN 1:14 Says, and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus Christ was the word, the word lived among Man. Jesus Christ was God who came to the earth, Jesus is father, Jesus is the son, and Jesus is the Holy Spirit, for they all are one In 1st John 5:7 JOHN 14:6 Jesus said unto him. I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man come unto the father, but by me. See Jesus Christ makes it plain here in the scripture that no person can come to the father but through him alone. JOHN 8:24 Says, I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins; for if you believe not that I am He. ACTS 13:38:39 Says, that those who believe in Jesus receive forgiveness of all sins, and justification from all things. HEBREWS 10:14 For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Who Sanctified us? (Jesus Himself How long? Forever.) JOHN 6:47 Says, Verily, Verily I say unto you, He that believe on me has everlasting Life. How do we receive everlasting Life? By trusting Jesus Christ By faith alone. Satin has a way of presenting himself as having the truth of the gospel, in the ministry of the truth to deceive. ISAIAH 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations! ISAIAH 14:13 For thou has said in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will set also upon the mount of the congregations, in the sides of the north: ISAIAH 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 2nd CORINTHIANS 11:4 The Apostle Paul Says, for if he that come preach, another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another Spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him, 2nd COTINTHIANS 11: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ, 2nd CORINTHIANS 11:14 And no marvel; for Satin himself is transformed into an angle of light, 2nd CORTHIANS 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers of righteousness, who end shall be according to their works. Satan gives man a heavenly way to hell, to keep them from under standing the truth of the gospel as how to be saved. ACTS 2:21 Says, Whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, all others will perish JOHN 3:16 Says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever, that means any person believeth in him, which is to trust in him Jesus Christ should not perish, will not go to hell in the future, but have everlasting life. How dose a person become saved and have everlasting life? By Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and him alone. Friend have you trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ to wash you of all of your sins In Revelations 1:5 by his shed Blood on the cross of Calvary and him alone to save you? Do that now.
