Christ accomplished more than just dying for our sins, and He has more planned for the Church than to simply one day take a trip to Heaven. I hope you will read the following. Christ INSTIGATES war with Satan by entering the Wilderness after His Water Baptism. Mark 4:1 Jesus went into the wilderness to be maliciously tested, to be on trial if you would, and to have His character put to proof; in other words to prove His character and it ended up with Satan being defeated as Christs character and resolve stood strong. Christ DEFEATS Satan in the Wilderness. Now demons are subject to Him, and soon to be subject to His followers. Matt. 8:31, 12:28, Mark 1:39, 3:10-15 Christ CONSECRATES the victory – Through the Passion & The Cross. Colossians 2:15 Christ CONSUMMATES His victory over Satan and all dark creatures by descending into hell and taking back the keys to the Kingdom. Ephesians 4:9, Revelation 1:18 Christ DEMONSTRATED His victory over Satan at His resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:55 Christ EDUCATES the Church and DELEGATES His ministry to her through His teachings. John 14:12-14, Luke 9:1,2, Luke 10:1,2,9,17-19, 12:32, Matt. 10:8, 28:18-20, Mark 3:10-15, 16:15-20 Christ EMPHASIZES the message of the Kingdom of God in His last 40 days on earth. Acts 1:1-3 Christ INITIATES the transfer of rule upon His ascension. Eph 4:11-16 Christ COMMISSIONS and EMPOWERS the Church at Pentecost. Acts 1:8, 2:1-3
