Christmas Service with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome The whole world belongs to Jesus. The Bible said the earth is the lord and the fullness thereof. All over the world today there are celebrations. Even though a lot celebrating dont know who He is. Some think is a nice holiday, but we know. A lot of time we sing songs, worship him and celebrate him because we know who he is. Some will say, that night the angels came to the shepherd, if only they were there. I would have enjoyed it. We have something much more glorious than the angels and the shepherd had. They think about us today and wish they were here now because of the greater glory. But because a lot of people dont have the revelation of the spirit, they think is more glorious. But truly we are in a far more glorious time and pedestal than they knew anything about. Glory to God. Every year when Christmas come, I think about what Christmas means. The Meaning of Christmas Christmas Is about what it means and I think like that. What does Christmas mean? Every year there is a revelation and I think, Lord Jesus isnt it more beautiful that you came? 1.√ Number one Christmas is the will of the Father revealed to us. They didnt know Gods will, they werent sure. They know where God was, and who he was but God revealed his will through Jesus. Meaning that his will towards us is good. The will of God has been revealed, am no longer in darkness because I know the will of the father. Every step Jesus took was the will of the father. When he healed the sick and touched the leaper, it was the will of the father. The leaper discovered the will of the father when he said if you will, you will make me clean. Christmas is the fathers will revealed to us. 2.√ Christmas is the love of God unveiled. All that men knew about God was his judgment, he is an angry God, he put them on earth and they messed up and he got angry about them. Thats what they thought about God. In the days of Noah he destroyed the world with flood and he also destroyed Sodom and he promised to do another one. Thats what they know about him. But God is love. Gods love was cleaned off according to the world. They knew the God of war, fighting, destructions, earthquake. But Christmas is Gods love unveiled. Look at Jesus, he is different from all the prophets and the kings and the priest. Jesus was the love of God unveiled, the heart of God unveiled. When you think about Christmas, its much more. Loving God is different from giving gifts, doing acts of kindness which is good. They are the acts of love and can be done without love. Christmas is the fathers love revealed through you. It changes your perception in life. Gods love is what Christmas is all about. This is the mystery that is hidden in the ages past but revealed to you. Christ in you the hope of glory. So this love of the father that is encapsulated in the human person called Jesus is now deposited in your spirit and you can let it flow through you. It is the love of Christ and not the work of united nation or NGOs calling for peace, whats changing the world today is the love of Christ. Thats what (is) conquering the world today and that is the biggest challenge in the world today because there are those who dont like it. The gospel is the most powerful thing in the world. 3.√ Christmas is the righteousness of God manifested. It is also the condemnation of the worlds ways of doing things. The righteousness of God which is Gods nature. It is the mystery to the world and it is the biggest blessing to have been brought to the world. If you put the three together you will see they are talking about the same thing. Can we read the book of Act 22:14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. The occasion where the disciple of Jesus Anainas was asked to go to the street called straight where Saul was knocked down by the Lord on his way to Damascus. He gave him a message saying The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will, and see that just one, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. His words of his mouth are all in righteousness. Here you see him and hear him. To love him is to know him, you couldnt know him if you dont love him. Is impossible not to love Jesus if you dont know him. To know him is to love him. They didnt believe in him, he was who he claimed to be. Thats the message we give to the whole world today that Jesus is who he claim to be. He gave us the Holy Spirit so we can not be afraid. You will not be afraid because of the Holy Spirit. Jesus already told us that when we face the counselors or the persecutors, he said fear not for the will of the father will speak through you. If you find yourself in any predicament fear not. If you love him, you will want to do his will and his righteousness is manifested through you. When you arrive Christ arrives. Years ago that was my dream and that was what I was thinking about. The gift of the spirit to be manifested, among all those things, the biggest of them was, I want Christ to be manifested through me. I wanted a situation where if I spoke, it will be his wisdom. I wanted Christ in me and manifested through me. Galatians 1:15-17 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mothers womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: 17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. When you do what you do, who shows up in you? What happens through you. The Holy Spirit didnt come to introduce himself but he came to reveal Jesus. The more of his love, will and righteousness revealed in you, the more you are pleasing to the father. Otherwise you can celebrate 10s of Christmas and it wont matter. Jesus Is the beauty of your life, he makes your life worth living. He is the one who put springs in your step. Whats important is; does God remembers you? So always: you say to yourself am gonna reveal Christ more than ever. In the songs tonight we saw different presentation, different kinds of dance, hymn etc and we were expressing ourselves but there is something beautiful, the expression of his beauty is all coming through your eyes and your actions. What you are like, am stirred by the Holy Ghost everyday, stirred to know his will, filled with his love and have his righteousness at work in me. Whatever you want to do, think one thought; His will, his love, his righteousness. The most beautiful thing in your life is the righteousness of God. Let me explain that to you. In each one of us is the righteousness of Christ. Its like a kingdom. The throne is his kingdom, its the throne of righteousness. You have to learn more about his righteousness. It is Gods way of doing things, his view, his perspective. What does God think about this and that and what he said and what he did? You can only know through his word. You have to study and meditate on Gods word. The less you meditate on his word the less of his righteousness you have. Meditate on his word so you can think like him and then you find that without any major effort of yours, God lifts you and promotes you. You cant tell how it happened but you will discover that your influence is increasing. And whatever he tells you to do, you will make impact. And then his grace in your life will increase. I can see that happening in some of you. Imagine that you are hoping that you could share something, maybe there is a unit of something and you wish you could get a little piece of it, God has a mind of giving you all of them. The question is can you trust him. God says I can give you all but all you have to do is trust him. If you can only trust, he will amaze you. Thats what Christmas is. A virgin gave birth, when the impossible becomes possible. The unimaginable becomes imaginable. Thats the life he called us to live and thats Christmas. Merry Christmas. All over the world you are celebrating today, let your day be filled with laughter and singing. I want us to sing that song. But before that, there is something I want to show you.
