Christmas in New York, Video No. 13 Today we go to Carnegie Hall. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? ... Anyway, last night I walked to Carnegie Hall after the downpour to hear Daniil Trifonovs recital. The highlight was the Liszt Transcendental Etudes. Quite an amazing piece. I will be heading back to Carnegie tomorrow night for a Yuja Wang recital. I wont be attending any Messiahs at the hall this year (there are quite a few), but I have been to numerous Handel concerts there over my 43 years in New York. The decorations are understated, but definitely as tasteful as the hall. I cant imagine the Christmas season without attending at least one concert there. It is supposed to be rainy again today. Yesterday I waited until time for the concert to go out, and never got to see my darling Woody at the Pond. I have to go today, no matter what, to apologize. Yesterday I worked all day on my Reservoir Ducks II video. It will be quite wonderful, I believe. I also have to head downtown at some point for more Christmas videos at other favorite holiday locations. And I have to put lights on the tree. Im awfully busy for being unemployed.
