Christopher de Groot graduated WAAPA in 2010 with a Master of Music Composition. His original soundtrack for WA film Sororal has been nominated for Best Original Music at the 26th WA Screen Awards. In addition to this the music has been signed to prestigious international soundtrack record label Screamworks. The album was released internationally on the 8th of July 2014. Christopher de Groot’s music is some of the most refreshing and eclectic horror music to be heard in a contemporary film – while it’s paying tribute to the genre masters (Goblin, Morricone et al) it is also totally unique, challenging and highly original.
