Church friends. ...have you ever really listened to this song? I really listened today. As followers of Jesus our duty is to love and spread hope. To often we turn our backs on those who are doing the wrong thing, not really thinking that those actions are caused by hurt, and that by loving them....by seeing past their actions, we can give them hope. I sin. ..I sin a lot sometimes, and its hard for me to say this but if it wasnt for the people who looked past all the wrong I have done (and believe me there was a lot of it) there would be no hope for me. Were so easy to say theres no hope and turn our backs. So easy to say. ...so and so is bad, I dont want them around....when we arent realizing that that persons actions are a result of hurt that only God can heal. If we arent willing to step in and be an example, an ear, and provide the love and forgiveness that God tells us to give....they will keep searching in the dark looking for the hope thats tucked away in you and me. You may be the only person that introduces this person to the only thing that can really heal. ..... Be a light in dark places. .. Under the shadow of our steeple With all the lost and lonely people Searching for the hope thats tucked away in you and me
