Ciao Tutti, Things are winding down after the big race and I was wanting to thank everyone involved for helping make this a great event. Going through the photos one thing that stands out to me are the smiles and these are the reward for the work. But I was far from alone in producing this. One person who stands far above is Sharon Kroger. From the first t-shirts to fund raising to organizing the awards dinner, she played a key role in making the event the success it was. If you read this please post a thank you on Sharons page. Next in line is Virginia Kellogg who home cooked the entire dinner! Next, the gondoliers who pitched in with help on oars ( the Providence crew esp. Mr. Oberg) or awards (Tim Coffey), or kept time (Luciano and Konner) or did boat work (Joe and Steve from Boston and Sean in San Diego) or brought an extra gondola (Greg Mohr). We must also thank our photographers Tony, Marion, and Anthony Storti and Richard Walton. We cant forget our newest gondolier Nolan Strighetto who was always on hand to help (and after only 7 weeks of rowing he came in 15th out of 21 rowers in the sprints.) A huge thanks to the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club for hosting the awards dinner and to Chris Cole who with the City of Huntington Beach helped make the race happen. We must also thank HB Council Member Joe Carchio for his inspiring words. To everyone who pitched in, I am forever grateful. And last, but far from least, I would like to thank my Wife, Dawn and my children, Samantha and John, for their unfailing support. I am looking forward to more photos and to the first committee meeting for the U.S. Gondola Nationals 2014. Grazie Mille, Frati, see you all soon. Tim Reinard (Bepi Venexiano)
