Circular infinity - like rotation about an axis to integrate - is a powerful tool for learning. Running around in circles, forever (in computing, an infinite loop), is a tactic of a$$holes in despotic governments to break down the patience of those they dont like (who speak out). The government loves superheterodyned (copper) wires to f%^k with dissidents and loves fiber optics for protecting against spying. With fiber optics, they can be ensured that no one is listening in, because such an act would cause a delay that can be easily measured. With (copper) wires, not so easy. I used to work in SoCal, installing networks for a small telecommunications company called GTC, after its boss, Jeff Galla. He worked with fiber optics. I learned a bit about twisted pairs, but was mainly a gopher.
