City Council has authorized a Name the Park contest for the City - TopicsExpress

City Council has authorized a Name the Park contest for the City property located along the St. Croix River, south of the riverboats. This area has been known as Stillwater Barge Terminal, the Aiple property, and Hersey Bean. It now houses the Shoddy Mill building. The policy for naming of Parks/Trails was adopted in 2005, however the Park & Recreation Commission requested that Council not name the park after a person and Council approved their recommendation. Therefore, names of people will not be considered. Please submit your suggestion for the Park Name by completing the form at ci.stillwater.mn.us/namepark from August 20 to September 17, 2014. The names will be submitted to the Park & Recreation Commission at their meeting on September 22, 2014 with their recommendation to Council during the month of October.
