City of Moonee Valley Community Grants Program is now open The categories available include: • Community Initiative Support Grants (up to $300) to develop individuals and groups within the Moonee Valley community, which supports a key objective of the Council Plan 2013-17: Vibrant and diverse – creating opportunities for all. • Individual Initiative Funding Scheme (up to $300) to acknowledge personal and financial commitments in achieving the best results in sports and recreation or arts and culture with contribution towards the cost of participating in recreational activities. • Youth Equity Sports Grants (up to $200) to support young people in Moonee Valley to engage in organised sport, particularly those from disadvantaged families. • Dick Reynolds Youth Sports Scholarship ($1,000) to advance the successful applicant’s sporting career and assist with covering the following costs: o Event attendance fees o Travel costs and accommodation o Training and coaching o Equipment and other necessary costs • Community Capital Support Grants (up to $10,000) to support community groups within the Moonee Valley community that provide services to the community and enhance social inclusion, health, mental health and wellbeing, community safety, community participation, sport and recreation.
