Official Press Release: Tina Cooper Clay Cooper Theatre, Director of Operations [email protected] Clay Cooper is thrilled to announce The Haygoods will be performing three nights a week and few matinees in the fall at the Clay Cooper Theatre for the 2014 season. Clay Cooper and his wife Tina took ownership of the Clay Cooper Theatre in 2010 from Jimmy Osmond. Together, the wedded duo has worked hard to make each residing show feel equally important as part of the Clay Cooper Theatre family. Clay Cooper said, “Tim, Patrick, Dominique, Michael, and Matthew have been great friends of mine for years, and I feel like I’ve watched their little sister, Catherine, grow up on stage! I think this is an excellent opportunity for both of our shows at this time. We can offer even more variety to our customers and provide TWO knock-out night shows under one roof that are family–owned and yet completely different! I am excited for an EXTRAORDINARY 2014 season!” The Haygoods are one of Branson’s longest running shows, having performed over 6,000 shows for over 8 million since 1993. They are known throughout the Midwest for their energetic, modern, and exciting style of entertainment. “We will be adding new production segments, new special effects, new music, new costumes, new lighting, and lots of surprises as usual for next year!” said Michael Haygood, production director for The Haygoods. Clay Cooper Theatre will also be the home of Red, Hot...& Blue!, Buckets N Boards, and of course Clay Cooper’s Country Express! We are also excited to announce that MEL TILLIS will be returning for the 2014 season as well. Red, Hot…& Blue! is an incredible decades show travelling from the Big Band era of the 1940’s through the fun music of today. This cast of seven singer/dancers along with their incredible three piece band provides non-stop, high energy singing, dancing, and reminiscing while displaying over 100 costume changes in just one show! Red, Hot…& Blue! will be performing morning shows in the Spring and Fall! Buckets N Boards will return for their 5th season with Clay Cooper Theatre. Gareth Sever and Matthew Levingston have handcrafted a hilarious and high-energy show chock-full of precise percussion, ridiculous songs, spectacular tap dancing, inventive instrumentation and unique musical talent. Buckets N Boards is an experience that has, and will, entertain the entire family! Buckets N Boards will perform matinees in March and June-August. M-M-M-Mel Tillis will return to Clay Cooper Theatre for another incredible season. Mel Tillis and his incredible band, The Statesiders will bring back all Mel’s greatest hits and fondest memories! Special appearances by his son, Sonny Boy, provide a more intimate relationship with this country music legend! Mel’s recorded over 60 albums, a songwriter of over 1,000 songs, and 36 Top Ten Singles with nine of them going to Number 1! Don’t miss MEL TILLIS with matinees and evening performances throughout the 2014 Fall Season, September-December. Last but certainly not least, Clay Cooper’s Country Express is a big production, high energy variety show with 20 veteran entertainers that will sing and dance into your hearts, get ya laughin’ til ya cry, and make you leave feelin’ like your family! Clay features all the cast members in his show and you will hear old country, new country, rock ‘n’ roll, and much more! 10 dancers, a 6 piece band, two youth performers, Trick-roper, Johnny Lonestar, and Comedian, Matt Gumm. Now that’s entertainment! Along with this incredible lineup, Clay Cooper also has plans for additional renovations in the theatre this winter. Clay Cooper said, “Our biggest concern has been the theatre seating since the day we moved in! This winter, we plan to bring in all new theatre seats with a completely different floor plan in hopes of providing more leg room for our guests.
