Minimum Requirements Requirements: · An Honours or preferably Masters degree in sustainability, natural science, development studies, geography, environment, energy management, or associated disciplines. Excellent writing skills are essential. A genuine interest in climate change and commitment to sustainability which aligns with the company’s operational philosophies and culture. Drivers license will be advantageous though not required. Please note that this is a full time 12 month contract position based in Durban and is not open to students currently in the process of completing their degrees. This is an employment equity position which aims to provide the opportunity for an individual from a previously disadvantaged population group to enter the climate change field. Job Specification Suitably qualified applicants are invited to apply for a 12 month internship position. The position is intended to provide a graduate or a new entrant to the job market with the opportunity to work in a professional consulting environment in the sustainability sector. The particular focus of the internship will be working on climate change related projects. Main duties of the Intern: 1. Providing support to climate change projects being implemented by Future Works including a. undertaking project research as directed b. communicating with project stakeholders c. managing project websites where applicable d. writing minutes 2.
