Clinical Research Nurse III/Advanced Care Paramedic Location Canada, Toronto - K Job ID 12069 Area of Interest Toronto - 5002 Regular/Temporary Regular Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Education Required Not Indicated Experience Required 1 year Travel Percentage 0 - 25% Job Summary • This position is open to Advanced Care Paramedics as well as RN. -Promotes safety and implements Study Protocol, Working Practices, Standard Operating Practices and Good Clinical Practices in the conduct of clinical trials • Promotes Nursing Standards in compliance with College of Nurses and Regulated Health Professionals Act Core Responsibilities • Practices all relevant clinical skills and non-clinical functions during study conduct as qualification and training permits • Ensures that subjects are efficiently monitored and that safety requirements or actions are implemented as necessary. Includes ability to implement Advanced Medical Directives • Ensures that documentation is compliant to College of Nurses Practice standards, ICH guidelines, and INC Research – Toronto’s policies • Provides instruction and support while working with multidisciplinary team members • Protects subjects privacy and confidentiality • Communicates effectively with subjects and research team • Ensures a safe environment for subjects and clinical staff • Assists with monitoring of crash carts and safety equipment as relevant • Accommodates flexible schedule (available days, nights, weekends) • Performs any non-study related tasks as required or any additional duties as professional qualifications and training allows Skills & Attributes • Conduct skills within the framework of Regulated Health Protections Act and College of Nurses • Ability to problem solve, and adaptable to changing clinic needs • Ability to organize and prioritize within a changing environment • Able to appropriately implement Protocol and regulatory requirements in study conduct • Proficient in venipuncture, intravenous catheter insertion and telemetry monitoring • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent documentation practices • Attentive to details, good initiative and able to work with changing priorities • Competency in Microsoft word, Excel and Power Point an asset Tasks, duties, and responsibilities as listed in this job description are not exhaustive.
