It is Shelby Hisers testimony.... here it is: This is Shelbys , He calls it Quality of Life On December 21 2011 I was involved in a life changing accident, From being an athlete in football and track I now spend most of my time laying on my back fighting many health issues, I am a quadriplegic , I can turn my head and can shrug my shoulders, I can hold a stylus in my mouth so I can text and do schoolwork, My father helps me with my bowel functions multiple times a day, Someone must feed me and bath me, I could list more but I have your attention now, After starting therapy I heard many people worry about my quality of life, I went to the Dictionary to get the definition on quality making sure that I wasnt going to miss out on anything,Websters states quality is the general standard or grade of something, It also says it is an essential identifying nature or character of someone, I realized my life had changed drastically.But had my quality changed in anyway? Had my character taken a hit also? Was my personality forever made over? Everyone who was concerned could not fathom how anyone could except what I had lost, How could I not change? Looking deep I came to recognize the identifying nature of the character I was.Yes, my body is changed forever but who I have always been is still there inside me. I used to worry how many friends I had or how I performed on the field or track, How many tackles,interceptions, or touchdowns, Understand I still deal with some quantities like did I take all my medicine or how many mins sleep can I get without the pain waking me, But this is not who I am! My name is Shelby Hiser and I love GOD! My life is full of quality, I have my life, my mind,and the ability to share my testimony. We cant always see where the road leads but GOD promises there is something better up ahead, We just have to trust HIM, Never worry about how much you have or dont have,Make the best of what you have even the smallest amount, Great things start with one, It is not about quantity in my life it is about quality and that I have an abundance of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
