Clinton deregulation of finance sector was bad. .... Says who ? Says Democrat senators who cite that deregulation as a reason to oppose a Clintonite that was involved in it. "Summers withdrew from consideration in mid-September, amid rising resistance to his possible nomination from some Democrats on the Senate Banking Committee. Those Democrats saw Summers as overly involved in deregulation of the financial sector during then-President Bill Clinton’s term, and insufficiently committed to using the Fed’s power over interest rates to promote job creation........." ========================================== Those who keep crowing about how the economy was great under Clinton,... need to be reminded that under Clinton policies were enacted that contributed to later financial disaster.
