Coast Guard Ready Force celebrates seven years in service PCG: The Coast Guard Ready Force (CGRF) celebrated yesterday its seventh founding anniversary at Headquarters, CGRF in Manila with PCG Commandant, Vice Admiral Rodolfo D Isorena as its Guest of Honor. The event was graced by Acting Commander, Coast Guard Fleet, Commodore Joselito F Dela Cruz; Commander, CGRF, Captain Angel V Lobaton; Commanding Officers of coast guard vessels, representatives from Philippine Center for Advanced Maritime Simulation and Training (PHILCAMSAT) and Excellence & Competency Training (EXACT) Center, Incorporated. “Preparing is winning half the battle. You have maintained our ships well and worked silently to ensure the success of our operations. What is more amazing is that when it did succeed, you sought no recognition. That is the kind of public service which I am proud of - reserved but intuitive and efficient”, VADM ISORENA PCG said during his speech. Highlighting the celebration is the donning of awards to Coast Guard personnel who gave exemplary service to CGRF. Director of Coast Guard Action Center, Lieutenant Rommel S Mendoza was awarded with Command at Sea Plaque for successfully completing his Commanding Officer’s billet aboard PCG vessel. Small Craft of the Year was awarded to DIESEL CRAFT (DF)-314, Category I Vessel of the Year was given to DA BFAR MCS-3003 and Category II Vessel of the Year was also awarded to BRP Nueva Vizcaya (SARV-3502). Coast Guard Merit Medal and Ribbon were awarded to LCDR PERLITA P CINCO PCG, LT ARGIE LYN P MAHINAY PCG, LT MARISSA F BANGAYAN PCG, PO3 Vidasto T Palero PCG and PO3 Mark Lester C Sarno PCG. Coast Guard Commendation Medal and Ribbon was awarded to SN2 Marvin Belbider PCG while Coast Guard Commendation Medal and Ribbon was given to SN2 Raymund Sancho PCG and Outstanding Achievement Medal and Ribbon was awarded to PO1 Ireneo L Bongay PCG. Certificates of Appreciation were also given to PHILCAMSAT and EXACT Center Inc. for their invaluable support in providing shipboard emergency readiness trainings to PCG personnel. CGRF is responsible for the organizing, training, equipping, and maintaining of all floating assets to support the accomplishment of PCG mission.
