Coco is a 7 mos old boxer mix puppy who needs a new home immediately. We have learned more about her since we took her in. Her life began with her being severely (we are told) abused by a man in the Bronx where she was forced to live in a crate in a dark basement; hence she is fearful of men. She is also uneasy around young children, so they may have witnessed or been around during her abuse. She is great with women, so possibly a woman was responsible fer her feeding, care etc. Anyway, she is currently stuck in boarding in Bedford, NY while we find her a new home. If you can open your home to this gorgeous, deserving puppy, pls go to nycsecondchancerescue.org asap and fill out an app. Boarding is no place for a puppy, esp one who has come from an abusive past.
