If I dont get one soon, my knees may blow out or I could get spinal damage from the over usage. My name is Barney. I am only 7 months old and I weigh 41 lbs. I am a very happy go lucky young (purebred) Treeing Walker Coonhound boy. I am very goofy and quite comical. I love other dogs of all sizes. I also love people both big and small. I love to play and I am quite funny to watch. Heres the scoop: I was born with deformed hip sockets, so my femoral head is actually resting above my hip socket. So basically I have bone on bone contact in my hips which is very painful (even though I never let it show that I am in pain) and the bones in my hips are actually degenerating. I have lots of muscular atrophy in both of my hind legs. I am over using my spine and knees to compensate for my painful hips. The vet says I will need a bilateral total hip replacement very soon.
