Columbus Man, Trisha Howell at CPS has decided that she can - TopicsExpress

Columbus Man, Trisha Howell at CPS has decided that she can overrule what Judge Mollo says. During a custody hearing of my granddaughter, Judge Mollo specifically told her and CPS that since the fathers paternity was not established, that CPS was not to contact my state of residency, since they dont do things the way Indiana does. I was to just pass my background check and then would be given custody of my granddaughter. Now, I passed my background check but Trish called my state and she expects them to do home checks and all sorts of other things and they wont. This is what happened before when my daughter messed up and I couldnt get custody of them because Indiana said I didnt make enough money and the state which I live in does not do the same things that Indiana does, so my other grandchildren got put up for adoption. Now the same thing could happen because this woman says she can use her own discretion and override the judge. She also told me that since my fiance had a domestic violence charge twenty five years ago, I would have to leave that relationship. We have been together for 10 years and he has never been violent. It was a pushing contest 25 years ago between him and his girlfriend. What is going on in Indiana, specifically Columbus? I did some research and I see that all the babies that CPS takes from their parents get adopted out. Most are never reunited with any family. I am in the medical field, own my home and make a good salary for myself and can afford to take my granddaughter. Why does CPS fight me on this? Why dont they want me to take MY granddaughter out of the state of Indiana? That was another thing they said, I could move here and would be awarded her. For God’s sake, she is MY granddaughter and I have no bad past or future. I can take care of her and I want to take care of her. I do not want Indiana to mess this up again. What do I do? I do have an attorney, but what do I do to make sure my attorney does right? I do not know who to trust in the system there. It all seems a bit fishy to me!
