Come August, people of the northeast will get a chance to meet Hojun Song, the only artist and individual in the world who has sent a DIY (do-it-yourself) satellite into orbit three months ago. Song, an independent artist and a satellite engineer, will be part of a South Korean delegation comprising artists who will tour the northeast on a 10-day visit. The visit is aimed at exploring the potential for cultural engagement and to open new avenues between the region and the East Asian country besides looking out for collaborative projects. The visit is an initiative taken by the Academy of Electronic Arts, an art and cultural organization.
