She’s known for a long time that she wanted to be an artist in some form. It wasn’t until she attended Savannah College of Art and Design that she gave her ever-present need to churn out physical manifestations of her thoughts the credence it deserved. The Charlotte native attended SCAD for four years ultimately settling on a major in Textile Design and a minor in Printmaking. After college she moved to Greensboro to design Adidas Kids clothing. In her free time she works in a small studio out of her apartment. She pursues a clean, minimal aesthetic, relying heavily on neutral colors in part because they are more timeless. Her professional design, which she still finds rewarding, influences what she makes at home including what she learns through extensive trend research. Wallace practices her own process of making as a daily ritual, or maybe more accurately, like breathing.
