Come to think of it, Union minister Muktar Abbas Naqvi was convicted and punished. He was even arrested. He remained in judicial custody till he was granted bail. How can such a person continue in office? Naqvi should be sacked and allowed to join the ministry only after he completes his one-year jail term or a higher court acquits him. Will Shri Narendra Modiji uphold political morality by asking for his resignation? Or, will he quibble about the legalities?
