Coming from someone who does not have a fear of heights, I need to - TopicsExpress

Coming from someone who does not have a fear of heights, I need to explain this idiocracy to the general population. When you confidently know you can do pull-ups and youre not afraid of heights, it makes no difference whether youre doing them on a bar a foot higher than you or 300ft off a cliff - It wouldnt emotionally or mentally bother me. However, I wouldnt do it without an incentive, simply because its unnecessary risk. I understand that if I fell I would die, but if there are no other variables to raise the chance of me falling, why would I? These kids are simply using their lack of fear to astonish people who would otherwise not take calculated risks because of fear, NOT danger. Everyone is capable of knowing something is dangerous. Being afraid is completely different, and it often raises the danger risk if you are afraid. Theyre looking for attention, its as simple as that. Dont let it blow your mind - Youre thinking about it too much.
