Comments: Happy New Year! We are compelled to write because of our experience over the New Years Holiday with your establishment and employees. My wife and I planned a New Years getaway and chose to stay at the Flanders for the 2 night package. We are fans of Ocean City, but had never enjoyed the historic Flanders Hotel. While the amenities were top-notch, it was your people who made the experience one to remember. From the perfectly gracious hostess Erin who seated us for dinner and breakfast to the wait staff and housekeeping, your people provided excellent service in an era when real customer service is sorely lacking. We would like to especially mention your chef Johnny, who served up our omelettes on Thursday morning. Part of a great vacation experience for us is good food served attractively, and Johnny did not disappoint. From his obvious enjoyment of his task and pleasure to serve we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Imagine our surprise when a little conversation revealed that he had also cooked our steaks the night before at Emilys! Believe me when I tell you those were two of the finest, tastiest steaks we have ever had, perfectly presented - and you really could eat them with a table knife. Please tell Johnny his service truly elevated our stay, and we look forward to enjoying his cooking the next time we visit Ocean City!
