Comments on Day 2 of Tivoli Inquiry: 1. I want to commend the Chairman of the Inquiry Sir David Simmons for his professionalism and involvement thus far in the Inquiry. He is both sensitive and sensible to the different backgrounds of people who make up the Inquiry. 2. Peter Champagnie is behaving like the typical classist Jamaican. His mannerism in the Inquiry so far seems to be intent on belittling people he very well know do not fully understand the formalities of a courtroom or a Commission of Inquiry. 3. Lloyd DAguiliar -someone I know well- was out of place today. There is absolutely no justification for his behaviour and the Chair was right to extricate him from the Inquiry. Justice is not one-sided and as the residents of West Kingston need their justice so too do the police, the army and the government (at the time). 4. Listening to the two residents speaking, suggests to me that there is a lot of work that needs to be done in terms of the education of our people (and here I am not talking about speaking English). They were aggressive, incoherent, and would listen to no voice but their own. I think it is time we do something about this garrison/ghetto culture in our country and lift up the people from that depressed state to one in which they are wholly self-sufficient
