Communications & Outreach Internship with Interfaith Peace-Builders Posted by Interfaith Peace-Builders on August 26, 2014 at 10:57am in Internship/Volunteer OpportunitiesView Discussions Interfaith Peace-Builders fosters a network of informed and active individuals who understand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the United States political, military, and economic role in it. To build and nurture such a network, we lead diverse delegations to Palestine/Israel. IFPBs complimentary programs ensures that the US movement for Israeli-Palestinian peace is rooted in the activism and life-stories of those that live the conflict everyday: The Delegation Program organizes delegations of people from diverse backgrounds on two-week trips. Delegations emphasize the grassroots voices of Palestinians and Israelis immersed in the reality of the conflict. Participants on IFPB delegations bear witness to the everyday violence of war and occupation and learn from those committed to grassroots struggle and justice. IFPB delegations present alternative images and analyses which reach deeper to uncover the roots of Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Education and Advocacy Program focuses on movement building and civic engagement by empowering delegation participants to become forces for change in their own communities. Participants on IFPB delegations know that their on-the-ground experience is only the beginning. The Education and Advocacy Program emphasizes continued engagement, activist skills training, and empowerment to ensure that the delegation experience becomes a transformational event and a building block in the larger movement for Israeli-Palestinian peace and a just application of US policy in the region. Interfaith Peace-Builders is much more than a delegation program.
