Community calendar notice of upcoming debate (please note that this is a debate and therefore not a promotion of any particular candidate): Congressional Debate The Tenth District Congressional Debate for the east side of the District will be held at the Pope Center in Washington, Ga., March 27 from 7-9 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. This is for the election to replace Paul Broun, US Congressman. Sponsors are needed for the debate. Sponsors will be recognized in the program and in the power point slide shown before and after the debate. Sponsors will make a $25.00 or $50.00 donation to the Lincoln County Food Pantry. If you would like to be a debate sponsor and help the Food Pantry, be thinking about what message you, your campaign or your business would like for debate attendees to see. This debate is one of five scheduled across the 10th District and guests are expected from Lincoln, Wilkes, McDuffie, Oglethorpe, Warren, Columbia and other counties. If anyone has a question they would like to have asked of any of the candidates, please send that question to [email protected].
