Concert of the National Chamber Choir Madrigal European Day of Languages The European Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations (EFUCA) , ELITE ART Club UNESCO, in partnership with Alumnus Club for UNESCO under the auspices of the Alliance of Civilizations, invites you to a concert of the Madrigal Choir held with the occasion of the European Day of Languages, Wednesday, September 24th, 2014, 19.00, at the National Library – Atrium Hall. 26th of September was declared the European Day of Languages by the Council of Europe with the objective of encouraging the learning of foreign languages in Europe. Linguistic diversity is the key to better intercultural communication and is one of the main elements of the rich cultural capital of the continent, this is why the Council of Europe encourages multilingualism in Europe. Through the project Madrigal Concert on the European Day of Languages in Bucharest, EFUCA promotes multilingualism and brings the celebration of European Day of Languages in the space of Bucharest by organizing the recital of the Madrigal choir, a true cultural heritage of Romania, recognized worldwide as a Good of the Universal Patrimony (Paris, 1992) and for the diversity of languages that repertoire performs in (minimum 6 languages). The project Madrigal Concert on the European Day of Languages in Bucharest is a cultural initiative of ELITE ART Club UNESCO, in partnership with the Alumnus Club for UNESCO and the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations funded by ArCuB under the Cultural Programme Bucharest 555. Project supported by the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO and the National Library of Romania.
