Conch Aid Launches with a Mission to Save the Florida Keys National Barrier Reef Conch Aid, a new Florida-based not-for-profit organization, has announced its formation today, with a mission to save our treasured Florida Keys National Barrier Reef. Formed with the support of noted scientists, policy makers and economists, the organization plans to deliver new solutions that will stop the destruction, rebuild the Florida Keys Reef and stimulate the economy. This announcement was made today by Conch Aid co-founder, Eric Landen, president of Landen Consulting. Conch Aid has recently launched a website, ConchAid, to explain why the Florida Keys National Barrier Reef is important, how the Ecosystem Services Valuation (ESV) will uncover all the facts, document the reef’s benefits, and to provide a way for the public to contribute and fund the ESV.
