Dear everyone, Thank you so much for your generous support of Casey and I and of our little one who we cant wait to meet. I wake up every morning with a little buzz of anticipation in my belly. I know the finalization of this whole thing is long down the line, but I just feel all wiggly thinking about how one day I will get to be a mommy and I will get to see Casey be a daddy. One of the things I admire most about Casey is his childlike imagination. Its funny, cuz when he was little he went around telling people he didnt think he had one. But his imagination is the most beautiful thing. And hes able to form such a great connection to so many children who just feel understood when they are with him. He gets them. And I cant wait for our little one to just feel safe and understood when their daddy gets home and starts playing. The things Casey comes up with sometimes just tickle me. I am so blessed beyond measure to have found this sweet, sensitive, caring, unique dude who is also so silly and so fun and I cant wait to share him with a little tiny squishy bun who I know will look up to and admire him so much. Right now were working on our profile book. This is the book that will be shown to the birth mothers and fathers to help them narrow down potential families for their children that they would like to meet. Were putting so much care into making sure we have the best photos and words and layout that will really capture what it will be like to belong in our family. Were really excited about possibly being able to grow our family to include some extra people in addition to our new little bun. I would love to find a new sister and brother in our childs birth parents and I would love if some or all of the extended family wanted to join our family too. The more the merrier, as far as were concerned. Weve got lots of love to give! Raising the funds for this continues to be the biggest obstacle. At placement, we will owe the remainder of the full 30K - there are no payment plans. We just finished up a really successful fundraiser thanks to Molly Equality Mahoney Dominguez and Chantel Fox and were on the lookout for other ideas. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to those two and to everyone who participated in the fundraiser. If you have any ideas for other fundraising activities, wed love to hear em.
