Conditioning- or energy system development- for rugby is a huge part of training and the vast majority of coaches and athletes get it wrong in my opinion. Hint- running till you puke or fall over isnt the way to do it! In this first video Im going to outline my philosophy for rugby conditioning, what I think some of the most common conditioning mistakes are in rugby, and what you can do to avoid them and train more optimally to stop from ever gassing out on the rugby pitch.
