Confirmed: The Met Service has continued a Flash Flood Watch for low-lying and flood-prone areas of St. James, St. Ann, St. Mary, Portland, and St. Thomas, effective until 5 am tomorrow. A Dissipating Stationary Front northeast of Jamaica continues to influence the weather conditions across northern parishes and inland areas of southeastern parishes. Satellite imagery and radar reports indicate light to moderate showers; heavy at times across northern parishes, especially St. James, St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland. Citizens are advised to take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to further news releases from the meteorological service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
