Congrats to Tian C Winter and Ricardo Drue...best performances, great songs/arrangement, proper lyrics, and great stage presence. I can say despite the show being rubbish, the judges were able to select winners who can represent us on any soca stage around the world. Keep up the good work. Ive kept silent on this matter relating to Diamond because I wanted to see the result of it first. After last night, it proved that if you cant find better substitutes, leave certain people alone and stop playing politics with carnival...the latter even being more important. Chet was wrong and ought to be blamed for the distasteful hosting that happened last night...especially during the Groovy Section...I think he owes the nation an apology....youre the Minister for Antigua and Barbuda..red and blue...not just for Labour Party people. Jessie redeemed it in the end...kudos to him. To the other soca artistes...please...write better music that mek sense please...and stop give Antiguan people dem chupitness. Next, stage management and sound/technical management...who ever the company is (I understand its Stonewall)...you screwed up many artistes and the quality of the show (on top of poor hosting) big time...if you cant manage to produce for a big stage...leff um lone!!! When APUA is affecting Carnival, you must know that APUA needs to be overhauled completely! Im not into the carnival seen, but those are my observations thus far. Ps...sry for the epistle.
