Congratulations , Loraine Nelson of Brooklyn NY. Being a sinle mom, seizing the opportunity and never quiting! We are very proud of you!! Here is her story: Firstly, I would like to Thank God for helping me to reach this far with my Ambit Business. Secondly, a big shout out to the five SC’s who helped me promote (Debbie Brunson, Flavia Chin, Olga Nelson, Nadine Wilkins, and Evelyn Berkeley). I would also like to say Thank You to my sponsor Collette Henry for introducing me to this “ATM Machine Business”. Being a single Mom, I joined Ambit to secure a financial future for my daughter and to assist folks who wants to take charge of their own destiny and not be a victim of global poverty. Joining Ambit has helped me tremendously to change my zip code. Coming from Jamaica, W.I., I have made a career of volunteering, association management, administrative assistance, sales and marketing in the US. As Founder and President of Dial-A-VA, LLC, I have utilized a well-developed, executive skill set in support of non-profit organizations. One of my most outstanding achievements was being a nominee for the 2008 Janet Jordan Achievement Award from the Online International Virtual Assistants Convention (OIVAC) for tremendous success in the Virtual Assistant Industry. In 2008, I was one of the Moderators for the International Virtual Assistants Day on the topic “How to Automate Your Business/Clients”. Also, a 2009 Honoree of the Annual Brooklyn Salutes Award Ceremony. My pass professions included a Business Teacher at Durham College in Jamaica, Public Relations Officer, Executive Secretary and Real Estate Manager. For my contribution to various communities in Brooklyn, New York, I have received citation and certificates from District Attorney Charles Hynes, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, State Senator Kevin Parker and Assemblyman Nick Perry. I strongly believe in volunteerism and participate in community activities whenever possible. As such, I have helped many non-profit organizations develop effective programs and navigate the challenging terrain of fundraising. This desire to help the non-profit organizations in many ways is manifest in my community involvements; some of which includes: Administrator on the Health Committee of the Brooklyn NAACP Branch, Secretary of Avenue L Merchants Association, Secretary of Humanitarian Foundation for Education & Development Inc. (FHED, Inc); Active Member of One Brick Organization (New York, N.Y.), Former Campaign Manager of Friends of Rodrick F. Daley (45th Council District, Brooklyn, N.Y.), Public Relations Officer of Immigrants Responding To Crisis (IRTC) and Contributing Member of ACS Team (Victoria, Australia). I also sit on the Board of Directors of Statewide Medical & Surgical Supplies Inc. I value courage, optimism, preparation and a determination to stand up to what one believes in. One of my favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt, which states, “You get more joy out of the giving to others, and should put a good deal of thought into the happiness you are able to give.” My advice to fellow Ambit-arians is to persist while others are quitting and commend while others are criticizing. As NC Steve Thompson solemnly puts it “Never Quit, It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint. Let your passion for Ambit gives you the power to overcome all adversity and don’t fail to embrace your challenges and your new title “Professional Network Marketer” In closing I would like to say thanks for your support and encouragement to EC Tim Hunte, EC Leo DeLeon, and SC Franz DeFreitas; you have all demonstrated a true family spirit by helping me with presentations for my team and I; even though we are not on your team.
