Congratulations maqabane on a solid campaign in spite of the oft-reactionary pre-election onslaught from all sorts of directions. We however ought to agree upfront that not all is perfect in the movement. Going forward organizational renewal is therefore critical methinks. Comrades must live and breathe this self-correction exercise, without which doom looms. The African National Congress clearly still occupies a very special place in the hearts of majority South Africans. We should therefore intensify the struggle, nomakanjani! Regarding elections, the people have spoken, they have assessed the presentations by the different parties, and they have made their choice. Reasonable citizens will come to accept this objective reality. They are our people, they think, they perform a calculus about which way is the better way for the next term of government. Hence we dispel the notion that they are unthinking beings inebriated with irrational ANC loyalty. Batho pele. Amandla💪
