Congratulations to Helen Sanford and Debbie Spangler and all of the teachers and staff at Layne Elementary. Layne saw a +12 point overall improvement in statewide testing moving up into the 89 percentile--Proficient and Progressing. This is a schools with a large ESL population and kids with lots of economic and social challenges. This team works extraordinarily hard on and off the clock to help these children succeed. These test scores dont begin to measure the long term influence on the lives of these kids.
