Congratulations to Ro Teimumu Kepa on election as President of SODELPA Your Excellency, It is with great joy and hope that we would like to offer you our congratulations on your election and assumption of office as President of SODELPA. Your accession to the post reasserts the spiritual values of both the indigenous Fijians and the mix of people who call Fiji home. It also fills us all with hope that Fiji can unite to overcome an evil and shameful era in our history, ending the oppression, injustice and huge levels of corruption our country has not seen before. The strength and courage you showed in facing the insults and intimidation brought on by a cowardly junta leadership (who are running from the law to avoid being arrested and imprisoned) shows your responsible and dedicated struggle for justice and also your role as a leader of the people. The effects of this have been felt throughout our villages, towns, cities and communities across the nation, including those of us living in other parts of the world. The people of Fiji are longing for peace, justice and reconciliation and your election as President of SODELPA gives us confidence and hope that your party will make significant progress in this direction. The people of our beautiful country are living through difficult times, especially the unemployed, sick, pensioners and those living in poverty stricken communities. We must stand together, united, to free our country from its evil and corrupt dictator and restore peace, democracy, and the rule of law. Your election marks a historical turning point. We join our good wishes to those of all the people of Fiji and our brothers and sisters across the globe who are hoping for far-reaching changes in the months ahead to restore their violated dignity. I know that as President of SODELPA you will provide an eminently suitable setting in which we can all think together about God who transforms the world by his grace and to renew our commitment to peace, democracy, justice and reconciliation. May I end by wishing you every success in the difficult task that lies ahead of you, so that the dreams of thousands of our people, of all races, in Fiji and across the world may soon become possible. We will continue to work and pray for a future of greater justice and solidarity in Fiji. Truth for Fiji
