Conjecture Where are you tonight The days turn into years My heart is out of sight My cloak all drenched with tears For once we loved but love is unkind When the clock struck twelve for this to smite When out of bliss, go out of your mind Does love blossom in its own time Or leave a conundrum, undefined. I dismiss all thoughts so heavy and sulked Compelled to smile but inside slumped Neither do I feel the pain, or any glee Waiting for the day when you’ll be set free When love is hastened it flourishes not It succumbs to die, but that’s not how I loved you My love is with reason, does not refuse to expire Although it would be clocks and circumstances to conspire Love will still prevail What it merges shall not fail Thorns could only make you bleed And lances may wound you deep You may fall out of a cliff so steep But still Love chooses not to go out of its will The world may vanish but it exists still. Apart we may be, but true love waits Until all odds are even for itself to sate And that time we shall be together again Our love will persist, and will never end. #poem #poetry
