Consider its depth (final installation): He comes to make His blessings flow far as the curse is found. - from Joy to the World The curse that the lyricist is speaking of is sin. In Genesis 3 Adam & Eve sin and sin comes with a curse. Because of sin the very ground is cursed and the plants grow thorns (hence the lyrics in the song previous to this No more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground). The wide-reaching effects of sin are all around us and it doesnt take more than a cursory look (pun most-definitely intended) at a newspaper or news program to see that sin is rampant over the world. But, and here is the great part, as far as that curse is found, He comes to make His blessings flow. Gods love is rampant as well. Gods everlasting light shines, and the darkness cannot overcome it. Merry Christmas everyone (I wont be doing social media tomorrow).
